This vase was thrown in four pieces using Speckled Buff clay and then formed together in an intentional multi-directional manner. It was covered in a Honey Flux glaze and then layered with Deep Firebrick followed by a layer of Ancient Jasper. When combined in this order, these glazes react with a beautiful downward flow of purple, red, blue, brown and cream. It measures approximately 11 1/4" in height and approximately 5 1/4" in width from the widest points. A felt pad was added to the bottom to protect furniture from the rough groggy surface of the clay.
