This speckled buff stoneware mushroom canister was thrown in 2 pieces and then carved by hand. The canister and underside of the mushroom were glazed in Iron Yellow allowing the speckles from the clay to accent the body. The outside of the mushroom was glazed in Really Red with a Snow glaze inside the circles. Both glazes were chosen to allow the clay speckles to push through the glaze and allow a unique accent to the mushroom. This item can be used as a canister, a bowl and/or a decorative piece. The canister measures 5 5/8" in height and 4 1/2" in top diameter. The mushroom top measures 2 15/16" in height and approximately 8 1/2" in top diameter.
